Congratulations Michelle Visage (Spoiler Alert)

If you’re watching on “catch up” please know we’re going to talk about the finale of Celebrity Big Brother UK. If you haven’t yet seen it, please don’t read on. Ok, now, let’s talk about the lovely Michelle Visage. We can’t congratulate her for winning the big prize for Big Brother UK, but we can congratulate her on winning the hearts of the UK telly audience.

Michelle has been an advocate for LGBTQ rights and the community as a whole. At no point did she sway from the reason she was in the house to begin with. She was speaking up for those who didn’t have a voice. While it was hard to hear her voice at times over the loud mouths of Perez and whoever he was pissing off at the time, we definitely heard Michelle loud and clear.

And advocate she was, concerned about how the media would view the LGBTQ community with the antics of Perez Hilton and the drinking habits of Kavana. But Michelle was a diva and a drag queen through the entire month. She wore her high heels to wash dishes, but oddly not to dance in the disco circle. She tried the tanning stain that Katie P brought to the party and stood up for those who she felt were being bullied. Michelle will forever be Mama Michelle and she has done the United States and her entire following proud.

A huge salute to you Michelle Visage, you didn’t murder that guy Mario and you managed to look fierce along the way. You’re our champion through and through.

Vote For Michelle Visage To Win Big Brother UK

It’s time for the RuPaul Army to unite and get Michelle “the crown” on Celebrity Big Brother UK. Michelle has always stood hand in hand with the LGBTQ community and her stance in the house has been nothing short of amazingly strong, supportive and honest. In a house where the loudest mouths got all the air time, Michelle has still managed to make a mark and ensure people were not mislead to believe someone like Mario Lavandeira, more commonly known as Perez Hilton, is the face of “Gay America.” With all that the LGBTQ community has gained, he has posed as a bit of a blemish on what people may perceive as typical.

For all of us who were watching the goings on of Celebrity Big Brother UK “on catch up” we feel powerless when it comes to voting and being heard due to the restrictions the Big Brother phone lines have had placed on them. However, every cloud has a silver lining. Michelle has a UK based best friend named Lyndsey who has volunteered to make sure every vote from the US is represented in the UK. So take a moment to spend a dollar or two or more to ensure Michelle gets the support we’re sending her way.

Here are the steps to get a vote cast for Michelle to win Celebrity Big Brother UK via your computer.

  1. Go to Paypal.com
  2. Sign up if you don’t have an account (follow the instructions as prompted)
  3. Login if you do have an account with your username and password.
  4. Click on “Pay or Send Money”
  5. Select “Send Money to Friends or Family”
  6. In the box labeled “Email or mobile number” enter  lucked_out_ligger@hotmail.com
  7. In the “Amount” box, enter the monetary amount you’d like to send for a vote for Michelle. (Suggested amount is $10 for 8 votes)
  8. Click on “Next”
  9. You should add a note that you’d like the money to go to votes for Michelle on Big Brother and even let Lyndsey know who the support is coming from. Then “Submit”
  10. You’ll receive a confirmation on the screen and via email that the money was sent.

Mama Michelle Is Safe, But We Can’t Say The Same For Perez

Michelle Visage is embarking on her Celebrity Big Brother UK experience and we’re getting to see first hand (via YouTube and social media) that the power of Michelle’s influence is phenomenal! We’re used to seeing Michelle read the queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race, she’s one tough cookie. But she has always said her loyalty to her best friend and creator of the show, RuPaul, is why she is hard on the queens. After the show is over, she talks with them candidly and they immediately know they have a friend and mother in Michelle.

That being said, Michelle “loves [her] gays” Perez Hilton may not be feeling the love. Perez nominated Michelle for elimination from the house earlier this week. The nomination immediately incited a “Save Michelle” campaign. This campaign spread like wildfire and while only people in the UK could vote, the world had Michelle’s back. Instagram posts, Twitter tweets, Facebook posts and any media that Michelle’s fans could get a hold of they took it as a platform to spread the word.

Fortunately it worked, Michelle is safe and will not have to leave the Big Brother house this week. But what does that mean for Mr. Hilton? Well, we’ve seen the negative response from a lot of the community, we’ll just have to wait and see. He’s currently trending on Twitter and it doesn’t look like he’s making a positive impression on the UK or the world for that matter. But let’s face it, Michelle is very aware of what a Reality Competition is about, it’s not smart to go up against her.
