During Season 5 of RuPaul’s Drag Race the drama between Coco Montrese and Alyssa Edwards over the 2010 Miss Gay America title was, to say the least, a huge focus during work room footage.
After issues with scheduling while Alyssa was reigning, the title was revoked and given to Coco Montrese the 1st runner up and at the time one of Alyssa’s closest friends. This caused a severe crack in their relationship causing them to stop talking for years.
When reunited during Season 5, thepressure could be cut with a knife. Argument upon argument between the two were covered during work room scenes and it seemed there was no reconciling the two. But in a strange change of events, Coco picked Alyssa for a main challenge involving a dance number. Coco played it smart picking the trained dancer and choreographer to win the challenge.

While we didn’t see a full reconciliation between the two during the show, the finale and social media have since shown they’ve let bygones be bygone. We love the two have called each other best friends, perform together and promote each others’ events.
