When hearing the song during a performance at RuPaul’s Battle Of The Seasons in San Francisco earlier this year, we knew it would be catchy. It seems like queens these days can’t say anything without it becoming a catch phrase by drag fans. But Alaska’s song is one of those catch phrases where you can exchange words within the phrase and make another phrase.

We can definitely say once you make a song out of such a phrase, it’s bound to be a classic. The rhythm is perfect and the club, the car or just doing chores. Once you listen to it though, we warn you, it stays in your mind for a while. Be sure to watch the video so you can see the “G.I. Jane” moment and the special appearance (and disappearance of his clothes) by Mathu Anderson.

iTunes Has Alaska’s “Your Makeup Is Terrible” FINALLY!

It’s been a long week waiting but iTunes has finally added Alaska’s latest single, “Your Makeup Is Horrible” to it’s store for purchase.  Although available a week on Amazon, some iTunes loyals were holding out.  Well, no more! Click Here to purchase.

Alaska’s “Your Makeup Is Terrible” Not Available On iTunes… YET

The build up to the video and single release of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 5 finalist, Alaska Thunderfuck’s “Your Makeup Is Terrible” was high.  Alaska has sung this song during her tour with RuPaul’s Drag Race Battle Of The Seasons so fans have a familiar feel of the song if they’ve seen her perform in concert.  The video released right at 12:00 Eastern Standard Time and Amazon had the single available at the same time.  Unfortunately, iTunes had some “technical difficulties” and it left those who rely on the Apple product left in the dust.

Fortunately, most smart phones have a YouTube app or have the accessibility to it and iTunes loyals can play the video while they wait.  Or, as some have decided to do, simply go to Amazon, purchase the track there, download the MP3 and play it on iTunes.  We suggest the latter just to show iTunes the power of the Drag Race followers’ dollar.

The ironic part of this issue, Amazon has the iPhone case with the single’s title written on it.  So you can get the outside working right, but your insides are all messed up.  The issue arouse from Alaska’s name which seems unreal since they have her track, “Ru Girl” available under the same name.  No matter how you access the song, please do.  It’s catchy, we’re not sure what’s happening with the queens these days, but they’ve got some tracks that stick in your head and you might end up telling someone something you’ve wanted to say for a while, but hide it behind a catchy tune.  “‘You’re make up is terrible…’ oh it’s a song I just downloaded, I wasn’t talking about you.”
