The T in LGBT has often been looked over as the rights of gays and lesbians have been pushed to the forefront. As of late, the Transgender community has been pushed into the spotlight, finally, due in part to great influences like Laverne Cox, Alexis Arquette, Janet Mock, Chaz Bono and Carmen Carrera. This list is too long, this has gone on too long. No matter what your sexual orientation, gender, race or religion, there is no excuse for this kind of abuse. Behind every “fag” “dyke” “queer” “freak” or whatever names may be given to our community, is a human. Human beings deserve love and if love cannot be given, show some compassion. The way the people in the list above have been killed is horrific. We do not normally get on a soap box about these types of things, but anyone who follows us knows we do not stand for bullying in any way shape or form and this would be the ultimate form of bullying.
